Early Years Christmas Spectacular
8th and 9th December 2021
This week the children have been AMAZING at singing all the songs that they have been busy learning over the last few weeks. It has been such a momentous occasion for the children to be able to welcome their adults into the school and to perform in front of an audience for the first time for many of our children.
We are so proud at how quickly they have learned all the songs and actions and we are sure that it will have filled you with lots of Christmas cheer.
Below are the songs that we performed along with a few words from some of our children about how Christmas is celebrated.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen,
But do you recall, the most famous reindeer of all.
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
Had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer, used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph, join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say.
Rudolph with your nose so bright, won’t you guide my sleigh tonight.
Then how the reindeer loved him, as they shouted out with glee.
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, you'll go down in history!
It Was On A Starry Night
We will be singing the first verse and two choruses.
It was on a starry night
When the hills were bright
Earth lay sleeping, sleeping calm and still
And in a cattle shed, in a manger bed
A boy was born, King of all the world.
And all the angels sang for him
The bells of heaven rang for him.
For a boy was born
King of all the world.
And all the angels sang for him
The bells of heaven rang for him.
For a boy was born
King of all the world.
Jingle Bells
We will be singing one verse and the chorus.
Dashing through the snow On a one horse open sleigh Over the fields we go Laughing all the way Bells on bobtail ring Making spirits bright Oh what fun to ride and sing, a sleighing song tonight…HEY! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh - HEY! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh |
