Our Current Topic
Our topic this half term is ‘Fairytales.’ We will be visiting Sundown Adventure Land on Tuesday 6th June. We will be exploring a range of Fairytales, following the children's interests, such as 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'.

Fairytale Express 24/06/19 - We shared these pictures from our learning with our grown-ups at our Express Event. These show us learning all about 'Fairytales'.
ENGAGE: On 06/06/19, we went to Sundown Adventure Land to learn more about our new topic 'Fairytales'. We explored the storybook village and met lots of different characters. We also explored role play on a large scale and visited the castle. We loved investigating with our friends and grown-ups.
Happy Easter 12/04/19. We came back from assembly to find our classroom a mess. There were white footprints in front of our board, leading outside. There was also some Easter treats left for us. We think the Easter Bunny visited us.
'Growing' Express Event - 02/04/19. We loved showing our grown ups all our learning from this half term. We showed them a little video of our learning and then explored a range of activities linked to the topic.
Giant Footprints - Measuring 19/03/19. Look what we found in our classroom and outside area...Giant footprints! We investigated these with our magnifying glasses. We compared them to our own feet to begin to learn about measuring.
Science Week 11/03/. We planted beans in a bag. We added water and attached them to the window so they had enough light. We are hoping they grow as big as Jack's beanstalk.
Comic Relief 15/03/19. For Red Nose Day 2019, we dressed in red and donated a £1 to Comic Relief. Some of us also took part in the House competitions in school. See the House Captain page for our entries.
World Book Day 07/03/19. We celebrated World Book Day by dressing as characters from our favourite books. See if you can guess who we are.
Shared Reading with Year 6 on World Book Day 07/03/19. We shared books with Year 6 to celebrate World Book Day.
Pancake Day 05/03/19. On Shrove Tuesday, we helped Miss Allison to make pancakes. We mixed the flour, eggs and milk to make the batter. We then watched as Miss Allison cooked the pancakes. We loved tasting what we had created.
Henny Penny came to visit! 28/02/19. Mrs Fleetwood brought Henny Penny in to visit us. She was a year old. Mrs Fleetwood told us that Henny Penny looked like our chicks just a year ago and that they will grow just like Henny Penny. We enjoyed learning the differences between male and female chickens.

SNOW!! 01/02/19 We were so lucky to experience snow while we were at school one morning. Some of us went outside to explore further.
Winter walk 23/01/19. We investigated the outside area looking for changes that happen in Winter. We used our senses to explore.
Nativity 19/12/18 and 20/12/18. We performed the Nativity story to all our grown ups. We were very brave and sang all the songs beautifully.
Children in Need 16/11/18 - We dressed in our own clothes to raise money for Children in Need.
Bedtime Reading Event - 16.10.18
Our children were invited back to school in their pyjamas for an exciting evening of reading. The children enjoyed a range of texts with stimulating activities to support story telling.
We even had hot chocolate with marshmallows!

Bedtime Reading - On 16/10/18, we came back to school in our Pyjamas with our grown ups. We enjoyed sharing stories, playing with puppets and small world toys and drinking hot chocolate. A fun way to enjoy reading.
Firefighter Visit - 24/09/18
Firefighter Taylor came to visit us to tell us all about what she does. She helped us to learn more about our topic 'People Who Help Us'. We were a bit shy at first but we loved trying on the firefighter helmet.
