You can register your involvement at youngvoices.co.uk/powerinme to access free learning resources for the song.

Between now and 2nd June, you are also encouraged to take part in the #PowerInMe singing challenge and to film yourselves singing the song’s lyrics “I've got the Power In Me" and post it online with the hashtag to see who responds completing the song’s chorus "You’ve got the Power in You!".

Young Voices Sheffield Arena - January 2020

On Tuesday 7th January 2020, children from KS2 visited the Fly DSA Arena in Sheffield, to attend the biggest school's choir event in the world - Young Voices! Upon arriving at the arena, the children were introduced to their conductor David Lawrence, the other schools and the famous singers they would be performing with, including Tony Hadley, The Shires and The Voice 2018 winner Ruti. The afternoon was spent rehearsing the songs and dance moves with the Urban Striders dance crew, ready for the evening's performance. After a wonderful afternoon of practising it was time for the performance to parents. They sang songs including: Kusimama, Frightfest medley, Queen medley, pop medley and Shiny Happy People. The children behaved impeccably and were great ambassadors for Barnburgh Primary School. Young Voices provided them with an opportunity to show of their talents, boost their confidence, increase their self-esteem and work as a team to create an incredible evening.
