SCOOTER SKILLS 2021
Next week, we have a very exciting opportunity. We will be holding some scooter skills sessions on the playground. The sessions are open to all Year 3, 5 and 6 children who have a scooter and correctly fitting helmet. All sessions will be taking place on Friday 26th March. The children will be taking part in fun challenges in the playground to develop their balance, awareness and road safety skills. The sessions will be delivered by Modeshift STARS Active Travel Officer, Daniel Neath, as part of our school’s commitment to encourage Active and Sustainable Travel to School.
To take part in the sessions your child MUST bring:
- A scooter in good working order.
- A correctly fitting helmet.
- Appropriate clothing (As usual - school uniform - Y3, PE kit - Y5/6). This includes suitable footwear (no open toe sandals/flip flops, heels, loose fitting shoes etc) and a warm, waterproof coat.
If your child does not have a correctly fitted helmet, or scooter that is deemed safe to ride, they will unfortunately be unable to take part. If you would like your child to be able to participate in the sessions, please fill in the form below by Tuesday 23rd March 2021.
