Anti-Bullying Week 2019

Anti-Bullying Week happens in schools across England each November. This year's Anti-Bullying Week has the theme Change Starts With Us and is happening from Monday 11th November - Friday 15th November 2019.

Year 6 support Anti-Bullying

Year 6 looked at the lyrics from the song 'Hopeful' by Bars and Melody.

They created a black out poem to show how someone who is being bullied would feel.

Around the outside the wrote what they could do to support someone who is being bullied.

Year 4 anti bullying day. We discussed how small changes can have a positive impact on people. These are the pledges we made to help change a persons day positively.

Year one (Odd Socks Day and Circle Time) The children were involved with a circle time regarding bullying. We spoke about who we can talk to if we have a problem and how can we resolve it in school etc. The children looked at and spoke about how can the change we make, can make a difference to somebody. The children wrote on stars to make pledges linking to the theme ‘change starts with us’. The children came up with ideas such as ‘smile at somebody’ and ‘ give someone a nice compliment’.

RECEPTION - During circle time, Reception reflected on how they could be good friends and what they could do to help friends who were feeling sad. We wore odd socks to school on Tuesday and celebrated that we are all different. We also enjoyed designing our own odd socks! In Literacy, we wrote rules for being a good friend and we made friendship bracelets to give our friends on World Kindness Day.

Nursery Anti-bullying week

Nursery made friendship bracelets, did Friendship colour mixing and took part in Odd sock day as part of our Anti bullying week learning. We have talked about how to be a good friends and being kind.
