Year 1 Remote Learning
This page is for our children who are learning at home so that they can access learning throughout the week. You will find an English, maths and reading task for each day. Topic tasks are at the bottom for children to choose from.

Phonics:
y - happy family Practise reading the sound, orally reading words using sound fingers and reading words in their head. Practise writing y words and write a sentence including the words.
English:
LQ: How do you use conjunctions correctly for a poster?
Guided: What conjunctions can you identify in the poster using actions and a text map?
Applied: How do you extend the sentences to include a conjunction?
Independent: How do you write sentences including conjunctions for a poster?
Encourage children to use their fingers when writing their sentence to see how many words are in the sentence. Encourage children to recall what is needed for a sentence. - Capital letters - finger spaces -letters formed correctly - adjectives - full stops.
Maths:
LQ: How do you add by counting on?
Go through the PowerPoint then answer the questions on the word document (GW, Fluency, Reasoning and Problem Solving)
PE:
Go Noodle, Joe wicks, games in the garden or walking.
