Mrs Kilby's Lockdown Art Project
Lockdown Art Project/Display
We have decided to create a whole school art project, which will capture the times we are currently experiencing and how we are all feeling during lockdown.
Every child in school will create a self-portrait, on a different piece of coloured paper, to create this rainbow effect across school.
Below you will find a video for each Key Stage, showing you a step by step guide. If you are working from home, your class teacher will tell you when they would like you to complete this portrait and your piece of coloured paper will be in that week's pack. You will also be offered the chance to join an extra zoom call, with Mrs Kilby, ready for completing this art work. Your teacher will explain all of this to you when it is time.
If you are in school, the resources will be there for you and you will also be part of an extra zoom.
Each year group's will look slightly different:
Nursery & Reception - Self portrait on the coloured card
Year 1 & 2 - See the KS1 video below
Year 3 & 4 - See the lower KS2 video below
Year 5 & 6 - See the upper KS2 video below
Try adding a background to your portrait and if you have coloured pencils, that are the same colour theme as your paper, feel free to use them after sketching.
Try to show how you are feeling during these times, with the face you are drawing or the types of lines you are using in the background.
If you have any questions, please ask your class teacher or email Mrs Kilby or Miss Appleyard.
