Homework Expectations

Home learning will be issued every Friday and monitored the following Friday when the children complete their spelling and times tables tests. Children will be expected to complete:

  • Spelling Shed activities to help them learn their weekly spellings.
  • Maths Shed activities to help them learn their weekly times tables or KIRF related facts.
  • Reading at least three times a week. This needs to be recorded in their yellow reading record which also needs to be brought back into school each week.

Residential Information

We would like to take our Year 5 pupils to High Adventure on a residential visit.  The visit will take place over three days in November: Wednesday 3rd November – Friday 5th November, sleeping over on Wednesday and Thursday night.

This is an exciting educational opportunity for the children with the chance to learn new skills away from home, developing their own independence and being responsible for themselves as well as covering many aspects of the National Curriculum. The children will have a fantastic programme including team building and outdoor activities.
