Hello! Welcome to Year 4!

Home learning will be issued on a Friday and monitored the following Friday when the children will complete their spelling test.
Children will be expected to complete:
- Spelling Shed activity - these will be a list of spellings the children are expected to learn and will be tested on each Friday in class.
- Maths Shed activity - these will be a set of times tables the children are expected to learn and will be tested on each Thursday in class.
- Reading - children are still expected to read at least THREE times a week. This will be logged using a digital reading log (please see below).

Coming back to school
Our topic for this half term is 'Misty Mountains and Winding Rivers'. You will find more information about this topic on our topic page or by clicking here.
Year 4 were set a challenge to create a table made only out of paper. The worked in teams to create the table using only 4 pieces of paper, 1 pair of scissors and 1 gluestick. This table had to hold different objects such as scissors, glue sticks and even a book!

Science Day 2021
For National Science Week Year 4 investigated 'Can you make a circuit out of playdough?' We made predictions, created circuits and talked about conductors and insulators. We enjoyed making two different doughs and adding them to our circuit to see if they were conductors or insulators!
