Tally chart- mini beast hunt (Maths Day)
The children recapped on tally charts and were encouraged to find insects and then write the tally on their chart for each one they found. They were encouraged to compare the most and least as well as talking about how the weather may affect what we see. The children were eager to join in!
2d and 3D shapes (maths day)
The children enjoyed listened to the shapes song and then we looked at the properties of 2d and 3D shapes. The children were encouraged to identify shapes to create an alien monster and then had a go at creating their own shape picture.
Numbers bonds to 10 (maths day)
The children enjoyed listening to farmer Pete to recap number bond to 10 and then created their own number bond rainbow!
All about me: The Dot
The children listened to the story the dot. The children were then encouraged to create a picture including a black dot. The dot renowned the children that you can be whatever you want to be if you put your mind to it and this was something that I encouraged the children to think about. We had ice cream cones, houses, flowers and footballs along with many other imaginative ideas.
