TOPIC - POLAR REGIONS
Welcome back and Happy New Year!
Our next topic is ‘POLAR REGIONS’. We will be learning all about Winter, including ice, snow, freezing and melting and Arctic animals! Your child will experience stimulating and engaging activities covering a wide range of learning both inside and outside the unit through continuous provision, adult-initiated small group and large group learning. We will also plan learning and provision around the children’s interests.
Happy Chinese New Year! 2021 Year of the Ox.
In the last week of term we were learning all about the Chinese New Year. We enjoyed making Chinese money packets, lanterns and we had a yummy Chinese banquet with our friends.
SNOW DAY CHALLENGE!!
Here are a few challenges to try today...
Put some snow in a tray and paint a picture on it.
Go on a snowy trail walk and take some photos.
Make a snowflake paper plate twirler.

We have been developing our fine motor control using tweezers to pick up buttons, drawing Self portraits for a whole school art project, mark making on tin foil and lots more!
Week 1 and 2 learning

Nursery have been exploring shaving foam. They enjoyed making marks in it and feeling it in between their fingers. We have also Read Lost and found a story about a Penguin. We carefully painted pictures of the Penguin in the story!
We enjoyed a winter walk...everywhere looked beautiful covered in frost!
