TOPIC: People that help us!
This week we have welcomed our lovely new children into school. They have been absolute superstars.
I thought you would like a little insight into your child's first few days...
It has been VERY busy!
This week we have been learning about our school routines and expectations.
We have been encouraging independence and perseverance when trying to find their indoor and outdoor shoes. The children have a photo to help them find them.
During snack time we have been encouraging good manners and independence when trying to peel their fruit or open their milk.
During Phonics this week we have been choosing from our song basket, singing songs and rhymes and joining in with the actions.
We have been getting use to sitting in our learning spaces and crossing our legs...not as easy as it sounds! We are already so good at this now!
The adults have been modelling play and the language involved, encouraging sharing, turn taking and of course tidying up.
We have been learning about how we are special and our families as part of our topic.
In Maths we have been singing number songs and counting actions like jumping, clapping, bending etc.
and so much more...
Here are just some of the pictures from your child's first few days in school...
