TOPIC: People that help us!
This week we have been practicing our touch counting using numicon to help us.
We have also been learning about rhyming in phonics.
In our topic learning we have started learning about Autumn changes...we will continue this next week.
09.10.20 - Mental Health Awareness Day
Week 3 W/B 28.9.20
This week in school the children have been learning about 'Being healthy'. Nursery learnt how to cut fruit safely to make a fruit salad. We have been thinking about eating healthy and others ways we can stay healthy.
We also enjoyed GO NOODLE which was lots of fun and good exercise!
In Phonics we have been learning about Body percussion (making sounds with different body parts), singing songs and rhymes.
In Maths we have been posting numbered letters into the post box, counting the firefighter's fires and in group time we have been cutting up banana, touch counting the pieces and working out 1 more.
WEEK 2 W/b 21.9.20
Another busy week in Nursery. We are already so much better at getting our shoes on and off. We are getting use to our routine each day and the expectations of school. What little superstars they are!
This week we have been making special prints of ourselves and our family. First we painted the table, made it nice and smooth. Then we used our finger to draw our family. Once they were dry we brought them to life by sticking collage materials onto them.

This week we have welcomed our lovely new children into school. They have been absolute superstars.

It has been VERY busy!
This week we have been learning about our school routines and expectations.
We have been encouraging independence and perseverance when trying to find their indoor and outdoor shoes. The children have a photo to help them find them.
During snack time we have been encouraging good manners and independence when trying to peel their fruit or open their milk.
During Phonics this week we have been choosing from our song basket, singing songs and rhymes and joining in with the actions.
We have been getting use to sitting in our learning spaces and crossing our legs...not as easy as it sounds! We are already so good at this now!
The adults have been modelling play and the language involved, encouraging sharing, turn taking and of course tidying up.
We have been learning about how we are special and our families as part of our topic.
In Maths we have been singing number songs and counting actions like jumping, clapping, bending etc.
