4.5.20 Phonics challenge

Can you say and write the sounds /s/ and /d/?

Perhaps you could...

1, Join in with a live you tube session.

Every day, you can watch a live phonics session: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDe74j1F52zQ24vACH9z4zO53N_JCYlSl

Nursery are working on Set 1 sounds. Most children in Nursery were learning two new sounds a week (please refer to the highlighted sounds in the home learning packs), some children were learning 1 sound every couple of weeks. We do not rush through the sounds because it is important they are pronouncing the sounds correctly, retaining them, developing confidence writing sounds and other phase 1 activities.

2, Can you use your body to make body percussion? See the song below...

30.4.20 Bedtime story

Goldilocks and the three bears

Hello Nursery,

I thought that you might enjoy listening to a bedtime story with me and my little girl, Phoebe. It was tricky to record and Phoebe was a fidget as you will see. I was nervous too! I hope that you enjoy it...

Missing you all.

Summer term, Week 1 20.4.20  -  Literacy and Phonics Challenges

Hello,

I hope that you have all had a lovely Easter holiday. Please find below a few focussed Literacy and Phonics ideas. There is also a link below to the you tube Phonics sessions and I have added the weekly Phonics challenges to this page.  I completely understand that these are challenging times and juggling home schooling, working from home and day to day life under the circumstances is difficult. There is no pressure! Nursery is based on fun, play based learning so playing is very important! These are suggested activities that focus on similar learning we may have done in school. I would love to see photos and hear about anything you do have a go out. Please email me if you have any questions or if I can help.

Stay safe.
